Pediatric Adrenal Steroid Disorders
Pediatric Adrenal Steroid Disorders

While rare, adrenal disorders, including under- and overactive adrenal glands and tumors, do occur in children. The Pediatric Adrenal Steroid Disorders Faculty Practice Associates at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine studies and treats a variety of disorders resulting from the disruption of adrenal steroid metabolism, including congenital adrenal hyperplasia, several types of low-renin hypertension, and intersex conditions. Every physician in the Adrenal Steroid Disorders Faculty Practice Associates is a member of the staff of The Mount Sinai Hospital and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Our goal is to provide those children with such disorders the most advanced treatments available and to supply the support and guidance needed by each patient and his-or-her family.
