Mount Sinai Orthopaedics FPA
Mount Sinai Orthopaedics FPA

Surgeons in the Orthopaedics faculty practice are dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, including acute trauma and the residue from trauma, in patients of all ages. Our physicians have expertise in surgery of the foot and ankle, knee, hip, hand, elbow, shoulder, and spine; total joint replacement; microvascular surgery; bone and soft-tissue tumors; and minimally invasive surgery. Members of the practice have a special interest in the “wear and tear” diseases of the skeletal system. Our research scientists are currently investigating bone wear at the microscopic level, rotator cuff degeneration, factors that predict hip fractures, the effects of microgravity on aging of bones and tissue, how joints of the foot degenerate, methods of determining bone strength, and how genetic alterations change the skeleton’s function. Every orthopaedic surgeon who is a Faculty Practice Associate is a staff member of the Mount Sinai Hospital and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
