The Geriatrics Faculty Practice Associates offer outpatient consultation services and primary care for senior citizens. Every physician in the Coffey Geriatrics faculty practice is a member of the staff of the Mount Sinai Hospital and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Care teams, including a geriatric medical specialist, a nurse, and a certified social worker, provide individualized services, treating conditions common late in life, such as osteoporosis, memory loss, and incontinence, while coordinating multiple medications to minimize side effects. Attention is placed on prevention of disease and maintenance of continued health.
