Program Overview

This program is under separate administration and requires a separate application. A five-year training program for Board eligibility in pediatrics, psychiatry, and child psychiatry (Triple Board) has been established. The program is one of the original six Triple Board Programs in the United States.

Year 1 Pediatrics
Year 2 Psychiatry / Child Psychiatry
Year 3 Pediatrics
Year 4 Psychiatry
Year 5 Child Psychiatry

This program has been designed to train individuals for a career in academic child psychiatry. The Triple Board training director reviews applications, and members of both departments interview suitable candidates. Selection of residents will be done through the NRMP. In addition to the regular application for the psychiatry residency, a short essay describing interest in such training and career plans is required.
