Program Overview

The Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine training program at Mount Sinai School of Medicine has as its primary goal the training of physicians planning a career in an academic neonatology setting. In order to accomplish this goal we have made two important programmatic decisions. First, clinical training is limited to supervised coverage at the tertiary care referral center (The Mount Sinai Hospital) and at a single major-tertiary care teaching affiliate (Elmhurst Hospital Center). Second, research opportunities are actively pursued in a number of National Institutes of Health-funded laboratories outside of the Division and the Department but within Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
