Third-year medical students participate in a six-week clerkship in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science at one of four sites:

The structure of the clerkship is divided into clinical and didactic experiences. Clinical experiences in obstetrics occur on the labor and delivery unit and the ambulatory clinics of housestaff and attendings. Clinical experiences in gynecology occur on the inpatient unit and the operating rooms as well as the ambulatory clinics of housestaff and attendings. Didactic experiences are composed of daily rounds, seminars, and preceptor sessions.
