Research funding sponsors
Our training program will take place in the setting of a broad-based and nationally recognized basic and clinical neuroscience research and training community at MSSM. There is an NIH-funded K30, GCRC, an active M.D. Ph.D. training program that strongly involves neuroscience, an M.S. in Clinical Research (required for M.D. trainees doing clinical research), a K12 award, and the institution currently has 19 funded T32 awards (and 8 pending not including this application). Further, 11 (up from 9 last year) predoctoral students have successfully competed for predoctoral F31 NRSA funding (10 additional F31s are pending), and 6 F32 postdoctoral fellowships are currently funded (13 more pending).
