The Mount Sinai School of Medicine Consortium for Graduate Medical Education, consisting of 13 institutions located in New York and New Jersey, sponsors more than 140 residency programs in virtually every specialty of medicine, enrolling in the aggregate more than 2,000 house staff. Consortium educational activities provided to all house staff, regardless of home institution or specialty.
Established in 2000, the principal aim of the program is to develop a broad and deep approach for prevention research training in HIV/TB in Argentina.
The program includes training in:
Trainees will participate in a combined didactic and experiential research-training program under the guidance of assigned Argentine and/or U.S. mentors, each trainee will develop a research project in one of the following areas:
Participation in this unique program will offer trainees the opportunity to present their research and in the future open doors to the field of international health.
The program will cover trainees' travel and living expenses in Argentina or New York.
