The Mount Sinai School of Medicine Consortium for Graduate Medical Education, consisting of 13 institutions located in New York and New Jersey, sponsors more than 140 residency programs in virtually every specialty of medicine, enrolling in the aggregate more than 2,000 house staff. Consortium educational activities provided to all house staff, regardless of home institution or specialty.

Program Overview

The division of Pediatric Dentistry at Mount Sinai offers a two-year residency training program, which is characterized by broad educational and clinical experience. At the completion of the program, participants will have completed all the requirements of board eligibility of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. The program is initially accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.

Philosophy

The division of pediatric dentistry is committed to providing the best educational program and the highest possible level of proficiency in pediatric dental care. The pediatric dental didactic program is carried out within the Mount Sinai Department of Dentistry.

The advanced pediatric dentistry certificate program is a 24-month course of study designed to provide students with the educational and clinical experience necessary for the practice of pediatric dentistry. The program in pediatric dentistry meets the educational requirements of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
