Applications are invited from undergraduate students who are currently in their freshman, sophomore, or junior year, have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and have a minimum of 3 months of research experience (students who have a GPA of less than 3.5 but have extensive research experience are encouraged to apply). Applicants should be motivated towards research and be inclined towards graduate education in biomedical sciences, in a Ph.D. Program or M.D./Ph.D. Program.

All applicants must to be committed to having a serious summer experience.

The award is based on the application materials, including the personal statement, the undergraduate record, and two letters of recommendation. The benefits of the award include:
